“He went through a period, interestingly enough, right before he died, where he showed me one of his new houses,” Morrison told Today's Savannah Guthrie. “He came up to me and said, 'I love you so much and I'm so happy to be with you now.' It was almost like it was a premonition or something. I didn't think about it at the time, but I thought, 'How long has it been since we last had a conversation like this?' It's been years.'”

Morrison continued: “I think there was something there. What was going to happen next to him was inevitable and he felt it very strongly. But he said, ‘I’m not afraid anymore.’ And it worried me.”

The family's full interview with Today The show will air next week.

Perry died in October 2023 at his home in Los Angeles from “the acute effects of ketamine,” an autopsy later revealed. One of these people, Dr. Mark Chavez, has already pleaded guilty and agreed to cooperate with investigators in preparing a trial in March 2025 against the “primary defendant” Dr. Salvador Plasencia and the alleged “Ketamine Queen” Jasveen Sangha to work together; Perry's assistant Kenneth Iwamasa and former TV producer Erik Fleming also previously pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing.
