Jerry Jones' children were involved in freak car accident outside stadium before game against 49ers: report

Members of Jerry Jones' family were injured in a freak car accident outside Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, before the Dallas Cowboys' game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.

The Athletic reported that the “second vehicle of the Jones family caravan” was struck by a “rising barricade” outside the stadium.

In the car were Jerry's daughter Charlotte Jones Anderson, his son Jerry Jones Jr. and Charlotte's son Shy Anderson Jr. The report added that Charlotte and Jerry Jr. were examined by the Cowboys' medical staff at the stadium and were cleared for the game to move into the guest owners' suite.

That investigation reportedly found that Charlotte may have suffered a rib injury from the accident, while Jerry Jr. suffered a head injury, the Jones family told The Athletic.

The Jones family can usually be seen at every game during the Cowboys season and travel everywhere to watch their team go to work every weekday.

All three of Jones' children are co-owners of the franchise, with Stephen Jones serving as chief operating officer.

The Jones family traveled to the Bay Area in hopes that Dak Prescott and the Cowboys would do better there than they did last season at Levi's Stadium, a 42-10 loss to the 49ers on Oct. 8, 2023.

The Cowboys are 3-3 on the year after being knocked out by the Detroit Lions two weeks ago before their bye week.
