The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 30:24

The San Francisco 49ers were expected to be one of the biggest Super Bowl contenders in the NFL season. Instead, it was a roller coaster ride for the Bay that continued with their 30-24 win over Dallas on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 8.

The 49ers were unable to muster the full power of their dynamic offense for weeks because their offensive line, receivers, MVP candidate and running back Christian McCaffrey were drained. 6 by the time the Cowboys entered the third quarter.

But in the third quarter, the 49ers outscored tight end George Kittle by 21 points while holding Dallas (3-4) scoreless and building a 27-10 lead that lasted eight minutes into the end of the fourth quarter .

Ball game? No – because it was almost Dallas’ game. Consecutive touchdown passes from Dak Prescott — who had previously thrown two interceptions — to CeeDee Lamb put the Cowboys up 30-24 with 3:32 left. After a stop, Dallas had the ball and a chance to take the lead, but their drive literally went nowhere over the course of four plays and San Francisco finally held on.

Lamb finished with 146 yards on 13 catches; Of Prescott's 38 pass attempts, 17 were in Lamb's direction. Kittle, meanwhile, was targeted just seven times, but he turned them into six catches for 128 yards and a touchdown. The 49ers' balanced offense also totaled 223 yards (the Cowboys' total was just 56 yards, continuing their one-dimensional, pass-heavy offense this season) and two touchdowns.

The 49ers are now heading into a bye week. They have yet to win consecutive games this season and will get their next chance on November 10th at Tampa Bay.

Dallas finds itself in a tough spot at 3-4 heading into next week's road game in Atlanta. Prescott is the first Cowboys quarterback since 1992 to throw multiple interceptions in three consecutive games.
