Adele cried as the couple hugged for a few seconds before saying a few words to Dion while the Canadian singer held Adele's face in her hands. Dion then held and kissed Adele's hand as the British singer waved to those seated. She then said a few more words to Dion before walking away to continue her performance.

From a closer angle of the touching moment, also featured in the clip, Dion also appeared extremely emotional as she hugged and spoke to her fellow singer. Another clip showed Dion sitting back down and dabbing her eyes after her sweet moment with Adele.

The “My Heart Will Go On” singer appeared to be accompanied by her two sons Nelson and Eddy Angélil, 14, as both boys comforted their mother after their emotional encounter. In one

The powerful singers' emotional meeting in Las Vegas brought the couple full circle after Adele attended a Dion concert at the same theater a few years ago.

In January 2018, Adele visited Dion backstage after performing at the Coliseum during the “Power of Love” singer's second Vegas stop.

In a post shared on Instagram at the time, Dion wrote after meeting Adele at her show: “Couldn't be at all of my shows but was thrilled Adele came to one of them…I love her so much!!”

Superfan Adele also wrote about the experience on Instagram: “Queen Celine! What a show, an absolute highlight of my life, thank you for the attention you gave your audience and the insane humor. Happy New Year, Ms. x.”

The “Hello” singer posted a photo alongside her message of herself appropriately wearing a Dion T-shirt while attending the concert.

The British singer has long been a big fan of Dion and revealed this in a “73 Questions” video fashion in 2021 that her “proudest possession” is a framed piece of Dion's bubble gum.

““It’s pretty amazing,” the singer told the outlet in the clip. “James Corden – who's a friend of mine but also does Carpool Karaoke, which I did – did one with her.” He knew how much of a fan I was of hers and he let her put her gum on a piece Spitting paper she framed for me.

Adele is expected to end her two-year stay in Las Vegas in November.

During her September concert in Munich, the 16-time Grammy winner shared that she plans to step away from music for a “long time” after her residency ends.

In a video posted to TikTok, Adele told fans on stage: “I have 10 shows to go, but after that I won't see you for an incredibly long time and I will carry you in my heart.”
