“Who the hell is that?”

It was a day Dwyane Wade won't soon forget as a statue of him was unveiled outside the Kaseya Center in Miami.

Just one problem: The statue looked nothing like the three-time NBA champion, and the internet quickly warmed to the hilarity of the situation.

Photos of the statue made the rounds on social media and users turned it into a meme.

“If Pat Riley doesn't give you max money you have to sign with the Bulls,” one person wrote over a picture of the statue.

“This is Wayne Dade,” another person wrote in a post.

“Miami Heat did Dwyane Wade dirty,” another person joked.

“Man, who the fuck is that??? “The Miami Heat did Dwyane Wade dirty with this statue,” a third user wrote.

The Heat unveiled the statue outside their home arena on Sunday, eight months after it was announced the team would honor their all-time leading scorer.

Miami also plans to honor Wade with an in-game ceremony when the Heat host the Pistons on Monday night.

“This is crazy,” Wade said Sunday, according to the Associated Press. “I wanted to feel that. Life goes by so quickly and it is very rare that we feel anything because we are always on the way to the next thing. … I wanted to feel that, man. I wanted to check it out.”

The statue also includes a wall listing all of Wade's accomplishments near the arena's entrance doors.

“As the greatest player of all time in Miami Heat history, it's his day, it's his family's day,” Riley said.

Wade is a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame and one of six players in franchise history to have their players retired.

Udonis Haslem, Chris Bosh, Tim Hardaway, Shaquille O'Neal and Alonzo Mourning are the others whose numbers were retired by the Heat.
