2 are charged with drug offenses in Ogdensburg

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) – Two Ogdensburg residents have been charged after police searched their home for drugs.

Ogdensburg police said they used a search warrant to search the home of 32-year-old Ronald Redmond III and 28-year-old Taylor Amo at 826 Congress Street on Tuesday.

More than 40 grams of fentanyl, various pills and an allegedly stolen outboard motor were seized.

Each was charged with second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Redmond was also arrested on a St. Lawrence County Court warrant for prior drug offenses, two Ogdensburg City warrants for resisting arrest and threatening charges, and a Family Court warrant.

Amo was also arrested on a warrant and a warrant from the City of Ogdensburg on a felony charge.

They were both arraigned in Lisbon Municipal Court and detained without bail.

Police believe further arrests are likely.
