Silver Alert lifted for missing 86-year-old Bandera County woman

BANDERA COUNTY, Texas – UPDATE (2:41 p.m.): A Silver Alert for a missing woman from Bandera County has been canceled.

In an update released Sunday afternoon, the Bandera County Sheriff's Office said Ruby Lyon, 86, has been found.

ORIGINAL: The Bandera County Sheriff's Office issued a Silver Alert Sunday for a missing Bandera County woman.

Officials said Ruby Lyon, 86, who has been diagnosed with cognitive impairment, was last seen about 8 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Lakeview Trail in Pipe Creek.

The Pipe Creek location where Lyon was last seen is about 24 miles west of downtown Boerne.

Lyon is 1.70 m tall, has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Authorities said Lyon was last seen wearing a baggy black shirt with the words “Wildest Dreams” on it, baggy blue jeans and black Crocs.

Deputies said it was possible Lyon was traveling on foot.
