WBC president feels sorry for himself because he is a Dallas Cowboys fan after the 49ers loss

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman is a big football fan. He once said: There have been great coincidences in football over the years and for me it was something that brought me closer and closer to my father.” as we talk about the 2024 Super Bowl. For him, one of his earliest childhood memories dates back to a chance Sunday in 1976 when his father, Don José Sulaimán, the longest-serving president of the WBC, took him to the Super Bowl duel between the Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Since then, the WBC president has remained a loyal Cowboys supporter and loyal to the team. Mauricio Sulaiman describes himself as “long-suffering fan” since the Super Bowl trophy drought that began 27 years ago. Sulaiman was in the team and experienced the lowest of lows. But when Dallas suffered its fourth loss of the season to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC on Sunday, he was heartbroken as he expressed his disappointment online.

Sulaiman took his “X” and wrote: “I don’t think there’s anything worse than being a @dallascowboys fan.” The devastating 30-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers dropped the Cowboys to third place in the NFC East, behind the 5-2 Commanders and 4-2 Eagles. Dallas' defense was again called into question and the frustration among fans was clear to see.

It also seems like the frustration has reached the Cowboys cornerback camp as well Trevon Diggs confronted reporter Mike Leslie immediately after a game over a tweet from the latter. While Dallas has been inconsistent in recent years, this particular season has been quite frustrating for both fans and the team. Serious injuries Micah Parsons And DaRon Bland, Poor defensive performances and questionable management decisions have led to fans already accepting their fate.

The loss to the 49ers was quite disappointing as San Francisco was also without key players in Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk and Talanoa Hufanga. With this loss, the Cowboys now have a minus-48 point lead this season, and with their drop to 3-4, this is their worst start since 2020.

The loss also prompted Sulaimán to criticize the Cowboys' star QB Dak Prescottwho had another disappointing performance on Sunday.

Dak Prescott praised his performance

Prescott's problems were clearly visible on Sunday. While he threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns, he also threw two crucial interceptions and completed just 25 of 38 passes. Mauricio Sulaiman expressed his frustration and wrote: “Just put Dak on the bench. It can’t be any worse than it is.” because the quarterback was a shell of his past performances and the abysmal defensive performance overshadowed his offensive contribution of two touchdowns.

Prescott tried to ensure the fans' future and calm the situation in the post-game press conference, as he stated: “No one is shaken or giving up.” However, his motivational words fell on deaf ears as fans were unhappy with the lack of commitment or weak explanation that attempted to overcome a dismal performance.
