Rockets 106-101 Spurs (Oct. 28, 2024) Game Recap

SAN ANTONIO – Jalen Green scored 34 points and the Houston Rockets never trailed in a 106-101 victory over Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night.

Jabari Smith added 17 points and Alperen Sengun had 12 points and 12 rebounds for Houston.

The Rockets bounced back from a 109-106 loss to the Spurs on Saturday to complete a two-game set in San Antonio.

Jeremy Sochan had 22 points and nine rebounds and Wembanyama had 12 points and 18 rebounds for the Spurs.

Rockets: Houston gave up six straight points to bring San Antonio to within 101-99 with 36 seconds left. Veteran point guard Fred VanVleet, who was 3 for 13 from the field at the time, calmly sank a three-pointer with 18 seconds left. VanVleet finished with 11 points.

After failing to secure the final four rebounds, Houston regained possession and quickly raced down the court to score on a hook shot from Steven Adams.

After shooting 60% in the opening period on Saturday, San Antonio shot 32% in the first quarter on Monday and fell behind 29-15.
