Strong winds and rainy days are ahead for North Texas

NORTH TEXAS – Sunday was pleasant and Monday will be warm before humidity and gusty winds arrive on Tuesday. Some streamer showers are also possible on Tuesday. Heavy rain is more likely on Wednesday.

The coming week will be quite busy. Unfortunately, it also looks like there could be a lot going on the following week, just in time for the election.

Initial notifications will apply on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Depending on trends, more may be needed later this week or next weekend.

The European and American models specify the arrival time of our first frontal passage to Wednesday afternoon/evening. Some storms could be moderately strong and bring heavy rainfall. The overall threat remains low, but some good updrafts that could cause damaging winds or very short hail cannot be ruled out.

The Euro continues to push storms and the front eastward ahead of Halloween evening.

Uncertainty remains for the coming weekend, but heavy rainfall remains possible as the frontal boundary stalls and further momentum pushes through the region.

In the week after next, another very large trough is expected to burrow across Mexico and Baja California before spilling over the central and southern plains. If confirmed, there could be even more unsettled weather and potentially significant weather for Texas. We want to monitor the trend.
