A series of crimes in the Milford area leads to the arrest of three teenagers

MILFORD, Del. – Milford Police say three juveniles have been arrested following a series of crimes in the area.

We're told police received several reports of stolen vehicles, attempted vehicle thefts and burglaries across the Kent and Sussex metropolitan area between October 3rd and 7th. Through investigative efforts, two male juveniles were identified as suspects, and investigators also learned that one of the suspects allegedly set fire to one of the stolen vehicles.

The first suspect, a 17-year-old from Milford, was charged with four counts of theft of a motor vehicle, six counts of second-degree conspiracy, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, third-degree burglary and two counts of criminal mischief for less than $5,000, three one count of felony over $1,000 and two counts of felony under $1,000. He was later held at the Stevenson House Detention Center on $12,500 bail and was ordered not to have contact with the victims.

The second suspect, a 13-year-old from Milford, was charged with four counts of theft of a motor vehicle, six counts of second-degree conspiracy, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, third-degree burglary and two counts of criminal mischief for less than $5,000, three one count of felony over $1,000 and two counts of felony under $1,000. He was also held at the Stevenson House Detention Center on a $15,700 bond and a no-contact order with the victims.

Further investigation revealed that a third male juvenile was involved in the burglary investigation and one of the stolen vehicle incidents that led to the arson investigation. The third suspect, a 17-year-old from Milford, was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of second-degree conspiracy, one count of third-degree burglary, criminal mischief over $1,000 and two counts of criminal mischief under $1,000. He was later released on his consent to a parent/guardian and placed under a no-contact order for the victims.
