Who will win in the presidential race? What polls say today

With Election Day 2024 just a week away, former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris continue to have a razor-thin presidential contest, according to recent polls.

Harris continues to maintain a small lead nationally, but polls show Trump only slightly ahead in some swing states that could decide the election.

All polls are extremely close to each other and within the margin of error.

According to 270toWin, Harris appeared to be ahead in national polls. An average of 14 recent national polls shows Harris with a slim 0.9% lead over Trump (48.1% to 47.2%).

Nate Silver prediction

The latest swing state polls that will determine the outcome of the election appear to show Trump with a very slight lead.

According to an average of recent polls, Trump was ahead in four swing states on Tuesday, Harris with three.

Arizona

Trump leads Harris by 1.7% in Arizona in an average of seven polls in the state. The last one was carried out on October 27th, according to 270toWin.

Georgia

Last week, Trump had the largest lead among swing states in Georgia. This week, Harris gained slightly, although Trump still leads the state by 0.9%.

This corresponds to the average of six surveys, most recently from October 27th, says 270toWin.

Michigan

According to 270toWin, Harris has a 1.4% lead over Trump in Michigan in an average of seven polls, most recently on Oct. 28. Last week, Trump had a slight lead in the state in the 270toWin poll.

Nevada

According to 270towin, Trump now has a 0.3% lead over Harris in a Nevada poll. According to 270towin, this number averages six polls in the state, most recently on October 25th.

North Carolina

In North Carolina, Trump is leading Harris in an average of eight polls in the state (49% to 47.9%), according to 270toWin, most recently on October 25.

Pennsylvania

Harris and Trump are neck and neck in Pennsylvania. This week, Harris leads Trump (48.3% to 48%) in an average of seven polls, the most recent being conducted on October 28, according to 270toWin.

Wisconsin

According to 270toWin, Harris has a 0.4% lead over Trump in Wisconsin in an average of seven polls conducted in the state.

Polls will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
