Cheyenne and Laramie can expect snow and a strong cold front

There is a good chance of snow in Cheyenne, Laramie and most of southeastern Wyoming above 5,000 feet as a strong cold front will move through the area on Tuesday and Wednesday.

That's according to the Cheyenne office of the National Weather Service. The agency posted the following on its website:

“The forecast remains on track for our first widespread taste of winter across southeastern Wyoming, into the Nebraska Panhandle.” This is expected to occur Tuesday through Wednesday as the front moves northwest to southeast. In front of the front it is raining, behind the front snow is forming in the cold air. For most people, the best chance of snow will be Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. There will likely be some impacts to travel on southeastern Wyoming roads during this period. Stay tuned for future forecast updates regarding any warnings or advisories.''
