Atletico Madrid vs. Lille prediction, odds and tip

After the surprise 1-0 win over Real Madrid in the last round of Champions League games, Lille will have another Madrid club in their sights against Atlético. Three points will be a difficult task for the Mastiffs as Atleti are unbeaten at home this season and have won four times in the series. But that doesn't mean that guests won't have fun in the Spanish capital. Diego Simeone's reputation as an excellent defensive coach has waned somewhat in recent years, and the fact that Atleti have kept six Champions League games without conceding a goal – they have scored 12 goals in that series – will give Lille some relief from this daunting journey give hope.

Worryingly, Atlético Madrid were beaten 4-0 by Benfica in their last Champions League game, and with key centre-backs Robin Le Normand and Clement Lenglet out through injury, they once again look vulnerable at the back. Lille are no pushovers, having enjoyed a five-game unbeaten run in recent weeks and with Jonathan David at the helm they should be a threat. In Atlético's last three home games, it has been a successful bet for both teams to score, and it seems possible again.
