School bus involved in multi-vehicle accident in Eaton County

EATON RAPIDS TWP, Mich. (WILX) – Three people, none of them students, suffered minor injuries in a three-car crash Tuesday morning in Eaton County. The accident involved a Dean Transportation school bus, but no students were on board the bus at the time of the accident.

The Eaton County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that a preliminary investigation indicates a distracted driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of S Royston Rd and E Clinton Trail (M-50), causing the crash .

The three drivers of the vehicles involved were treated at the scene by first responders for minor injuries. The Eaton County Sheriff's Office and Eaton Rapids Township Fire Department responded to the scene. M-50 was closed in both directions at Clinton Trail for about an hour Tuesday morning, but has since reopened.
