Person killed in accident involving motorcycle and truck in northwest

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a truck Saturday night in northwest Charlotte.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they were called to the 7100 block of Tuckaseegee Road, near Larry Drive, on Oct. 26 around 8:11 p.m.

Officers at the scene said they found a Nissan truck and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, 38-year-old Casey Jon Korbely, was killed at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the truck were injured and taken to an area hospital.

According to investigators, the truck driver exited a driveway on Tuckaseegee Road and turned left onto the east side of the road while Korbely drove west. A quarter panel of the truck struck the front of the motorcycle, ejecting Korbley.
