Pixel 9a price leaks won't change despite spec increase

Google's Pixel 9a is expected to launch sooner next year, and as that gets closer, more information will be released. But apparently there will be no price increase for the Pixel 9a.

The Pixel 9a is reportedly set to launch in March 2025, a single source has reported, and is expected to bring some major upgrades like a much larger battery, a major hardware redesign, and some camera optimizations.

Now we get a closer look at the alleged specs and a hint at the price.

The people of Android Headlines report that the Pixel 9a will have the same price as the Pixel 8a, which was $499 in the US.

Pixel 9a is also said to weigh 186g, 2g less than the Pixel 8a (despite the larger battery and size), and offer a 48MP camera, as well as a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 13MP front-facing camera. The 5,000mAh battery charges via an 18W wired connection and a 7.5W wireless connection, while there's 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, just like the Pixel 8a. The 6.3-inch display is also a 120 Hz panel.

Tensor G4 is also mentioned, but this report does not directly confirm previous reports that claimed the chip would not use the same updated modem as the G4 used in other Pixel 9 series devices.
