Texans WR suffers torn ACL against Colts

play

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs is out for the remainder of the 2024 season, a major blow for the Houston Texans.

In the third quarter, the Texans' leading wide receiver, Stefon Diggs, left the game with a knee injury and did not return to the game. Here's what happened and its status.

On Tuesday, October 29, the Texans provided an injury update. Diggs suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the 2024 season.

Diggs injured his knee on a third-quarter route run against Kenny Moore. It was a non-contact injury after he jammed his knee when he cut his knee. The Texans later ruled Diggs out for the game.

He injured his right knee in the game, the same knee he suffered in 2021 and 2016, and missed time both years.

In a press conference Monday afternoon, Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said the team is “still evaluating” Diggs following the injury.

“We’ll see where he is.”

Diggs did not return to the game, which the Texans won 23-20. He was able to leave the field of play and get to the locker room under his own power.

Although he was able to walk to the locker room, further examination revealed that Diggs had suffered further damage and a torn ACL.

Stefon Diggs stats
