Which players will be available or unavailable before November 5th?

The Tennessee Titans spent the early hours of Wednesday finalizing trades for two of their most notable players, sending receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs and linebacker Ernest Jones to the Seattle Seahawks.

Those calls led to further trade discussions before the NFL's Nov. 5 trade deadline.

According to sources, several teams have called Tennessee about a specific player: Jeffery Simmons, a two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle. Despite the interest, these teams were all told the same refrain: “It’s not happening.”

In today's NFL, where there are more business-minded general managers than ever before, it never hurts to ask. Such calls can come this time of year when teams get wind of teams willing to trade their top players. The roster is extremely short league-wide of players who wouldn't be available if another team was willing to give up, say, two first-round picks and possibly more.
