Caitlin Clark's strong opinion on Stephanie White going viral after firing a feverish HC

The Indiana Fever are preparing to announce a new head coach after the franchise somewhat surprisingly parted ways with Christie Sides last Sunday.

Last season, many Fever fans criticized Sides' coaching skills and believed she didn't get the best out of rookie superstar Caitlin Clark. Clark is coming off a historic first season in the WNBA and will be looking for guidance to help her take the next step in her career.

The top candidate for the Fever head coaching job is currently Stephanie White, who coincidentally parted ways with the Connecticut Sun on Monday. White's old comments about Clark have since resurfaced as speculation mounts that White will take the helm at Indiana, her hometown team.

The Fever guard also had a lot to say about White last year when Indiana faced the Sun in the first round of the WNBA postseason.

“She obviously touched on a lot of my games throughout college,” Clark said at a Fever news conference. “I just think she has a really great basketball spirit, I think she did a great job calling college games. It was great to see them at NBA games. I think what she did is just – honestly, she was obviously a trailblazer. I think she's always been someone who supported my game. She was fun to talk to during shootings throughout my college career and (I) was always really supported.”

In her Rookie of the Year season, Clark set a long list of franchise and league records and helped the Fever to their first playoff berth since 2016. Time will tell if White – or whoever the next head coach the Fever is – replacing Clark can make him an even more dominant force in the West in the coming years.
