Shots were fired in the dining room at the University of Bridgeport and the victim was taken to the hospital

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WFSB) – One person has been shot in the dining hall at the University of Bridgeport.

One victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center said on Facebook that University of Bridgeport students and staff are safe and there is no immediate threat to the campus.

The university is currently in lockdown.
