Vikings acquire OT Cam Robinson from Jaguars in exchange for draft pick compensation

Minnesota is looking to stay afloat in the highly competitive NFC North after starting the season 5-0 before losing its last two and falling to third place in the division. Replacing Darrisaw with Robinson is hardly a balanced trade, but in the middle of the season it's difficult to find enough offensive support, and the Vikings brought in a veteran accountant who, all things considered, should be a great fit, as on Earlier Tuesday was noted by Kevin Patra of NFL.com.

Robinson, who has an overall PFF grade of 69.4 and has allowed four sacks this season, has 91 career starts since being selected by the Jaguars in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

The 29-year-old Robinson, who is in the final season of his current contract, is the second lineman released by the Jaguars this season after defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris was traded to the Seattle Seahawks on Oct. 14.

For the 2-6 Jaguars, this could be seen as a sign that Jacksonville's focus has shifted to 2025, but at the same time, Robinson did not play in the Jags' Sunday loss to the Green Bay Packers.

However, for the Vikings, it is a clear sign that general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah will do everything he can to keep the Vikings' hopes high after recent setbacks. Robinson might have been the best potential acquisition to bolster Minnesota's offensive line.
