Tony Rock takes Chris Rock to task for not casting him in movies and television

Comedian Tony Rock voices his issues with his brother and fellow comedians Chris Rock.

In A recent clip from an interview that has now gone viral on social mediaTony revealed the surprising issue he had with the “Spiral” actor while speaking with co-host and comedian Aries Spears for their “Live From the Green Room” podcast.

When Spears told the “All Of Us” star that he was confused that he had never seen the two siblings in a project together, Tony shared that this was the case Also He resented his brother for not hiring him for projects over the years, citing the 2010 film “Death at a Funeral” and the 2005 film “The Longest Yard” starring Adam as examples Sandler in the lead role.

To explain why his brother chose to do this not To cast him in Death at a Funeral, in which fellow comedian Martin Lawrence was chosen to play Chris' brother, Tony explained:

My brother is sometimes…he's a businessman when it comes to his movies and TV stuff. Martin is taller than me. [Speaking as Chris] “I have to sell this film. Tone is my brother, so yeah, there will be a few 'Hey, he and his brother are in a movie, let's check it out.'” But he and Martin pushed even harder. In that regard, I'm just talking about this movie. I was like, “I understand,” OK. I understand it.'

Tony then went on to say that Chris' 2014 film “Top Five” also bothered him because his brother allegedly offered him a role unprovoked – but then dropped the ball. In fact, Tony revealed that he was only informed by other team members that the film had gone into production. They called him and asked where he was on set and why he wasn't at the wrap party after filming was completed.

“Yo, bro, this shit was crushing me. This shit was crushing me. “I’ve never seen the Top Five move,” Tony explained. “I shouldn’t have to call. You said to your brother, “I'm going to put you in a movie.” I should just get a call like, “You're here tomorrow, we're shooting at two o'clock.” Or “Give me your email address, I send you the pages” or whatever. Bruh, it devastated me.”

The irony of all this? Tony's most popular role came from the early 2000s UPN show “All of Us,” which was executive produced by Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith. In an interview in June, Tony spoke about his “incredible” experience working with Will and how it led to him being cast in Hitch, although his scenes were ultimately cut.

The fact that Tony speaks kindly about working with Will is a stark contrast as he spoke immediately afterwards des The now infamous Oscar slap between the “Fresh Prince” star and his brother. But it looks like the two are getting along better now.
