Funeral service announced for off-duty deputy who died in ATV accident

CHEROKEE COUNTY, SC (FOX Carolina) – The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office announced funeral arrangements for the off-duty deputy who died in an ATV accident.

Deputy Brandon Parker was killed early Saturday when his ATV became airborne and crashed into several trees.

Celebration of Life Services:

  • Friday, November 1st – The family will gather at Gordon Mortuary, 211 E. Frederick Street in Gaffney, from 6 to 8 p.m
  • Saturday November 2nd – Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. at Rock Solid Community Church, 507 Winslow Avenue in Gaffney

Burial will follow burial at McAbee Family Cemetery, 304 Starr Ridge Road, Gaffney.

Anyone waiting to hit the streets to honor Deputy Parker during the procession can find the route below:

  • The procession travels from Rock Solid Community Church on Winslow Avenue to Floyd Baker Boulevard.
  • Then turn right onto Floyd Baker Boulevard and turn left onto Frederick Street.
  • The route continues on Frederick Street, past the Cherokee Sheriff's Office, until it merges with Union Highway.
  • Then Union Highway to Starr Ridge Road and turn left onto Starr Ridge Road to McAbee Family Cemetery.
