Derek Jeter has a simple explanation for the Yankees' Game 3 loss to the Dodgers

Everything is on the line for the Yankees on Tuesday as they prepare for Game 4 of the World Series, trailing 3-0 against the Dodgers. You have to find a way to win to stay alive.

Ahead of Tuesday's must-win game, legendary former Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter told TMZ Sports what went wrong in the Yankees' 4-2 loss on Monday night.

“Shall I explain to you what happened last night,” Jeter said. “The Dodgers scored more runs than the Yankees.”

The Yankees didn't score until Alex Verdugo hit a two-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning. Gleyber Torres retired immediately afterwards and the game was over. The Yankees were outscored 14-7 in the first three games of the series.

Luis Gil will take the mound for New York on Tuesday at Yankees Stadium. Jeter will be back with the Fox broadcast team.
