Said Nurmagomedov's fight was removed from UFC 308 – Field Level Media – Professional Sports Content Solutions

Saturday's scheduled bantamweight bout between Said Nurmagomedov and Daniel Santos was officially pulled from the UFC 308 card on Wednesday.

The promotion did not provide a specific reason why Santos (12-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) was “dropped” from the schedule at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. It is the Brazilian fighter's second consecutive withdrawal.

It would have been the first fight for Nurmagomedov (18-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC) since UFC 294 in October 2023, when the Russian defeated Muin Gafurov via submission in the first round.

News of Santos' withdrawal broke earlier this week, but apparently there was no time to find a replacement for the fight against Nurmagomedov.

UFC 308 continues with 13 fights, headlined by the featherweight title fight between Max Holloway and champion Ilia Topuria.
