An accidental fall at Bellevue High School kills one

BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) – A man working on the roof of Gross Catholic High School fell through a skylight on Monday and died from his resulting injuries.

According to a news release, Bellevue police and firefighters were dispatched to Gross Catholic High School around 11 a.m. Monday on a rescue mission.

On scene, officers found 24-year-old Sander Gonzalez-Munoz in critical condition on the floor of the school's gymnasium.

Life-saving measures were attempted and he was taken to the hospital, but Gonzalez-Munoz was pronounced dead at the hospital, the release said.

An investigation revealed that Gonzalez-Munoz was working on the roof for Titan Pro Roofing when he stepped on a skylight, which broke and caused Gonzalez-Munoz to fall over 20 feet to the ground in the gym.

Initial investigations indicate that the death was probably an accidental death.

No Gross Catholic High staff or students were injured in the incident.
