Accident on I-526 on ramp causing traffic delays

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Traffic on the Glenn McConnell Parkway is backed up Wednesday morning due to an accident on Paul Cantrell on the ramp to I-526.

Traffic cameras show that the police are on site.

According to dispatch information, the call came in around 6:40 a.m. Around 7 a.m. traffic began to build up

Officials did not provide any information about the severity of the accident.

First Alert Traffic Anchor Abbey Walton said traffic delays affected drivers all the way back to Bees Ferry.
