Houston PetSet and Crime Stoppers address the connection between domestic violence and pet safety

As Domestic Violence Awareness Month comes to a close, Houston PetSet and Crime Stoppers of Houston are shining a light on a critical issue that is often overlooked: the impact of domestic violence on pets.

The press conference will be held today at 10 a.m. and will be attended by representatives from Houston PetSet, Crime Stoppers of Houston and the Houston Area Women's Center. Together, they will propose strategies to improve support systems for human and animal victims of domestic violence, with the goal of providing safe alternatives and increasing community awareness and action.

KPRC 2 will live stream this press conference.
