Live updates on the 2024 election: Latest news on Donald Trump and Kamala Harris

Kamala Harris says American patriots didn't fight to make us 'submit to the will of another little tyrant'

With less than a week remaining in the 2024 US presidential election cycle, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are making their final appeals to voters across the country, particularly in battleground states.

The Democratic presidential candidate delivered her “closing statement” at the Ellipse Temple in Washington DC last night, speaking from the same spot from which Trump told his supporters to “fight like hell” on January 6, 2021.

Harris called on Americans to finally leave the “division, chaos and mutual distrust” of the Trump era behind them. She called her opponent a cynical opportunist vulnerable to the influence of malign actors at home and abroad and offered herself as a positive alternative.

Unfortunately, their moment of triumph risks being overshadowed by Joe Biden, who inadvertently ignited a conservative media storm by seemingly calling Trump's supporters “trash” in response to Tony Hinchcliffe's already infamous Madison Square Garden joke about Puerto Rico .

“The only trash I see floating out there is his supporters – his – his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and un-American,” the president told Latinos on a Zoom call Tuesday.

“It’s completely contradictory to everything we’ve done, everything we’ve been.”

“Nostradamus,” about the presidential election, reveals why there is “more election anxiety this year than ever before.”

Allan Lichtman, the American political historian known as the “Nostradamus” of elections for successfully predicting the last nine out of 10 presidential elections since 1984, has revealed why he believes there is “more election anxiety this year” than ever before.

This time, in a new episode on his YouTube channel pointing out that voters only have a week left before voters elect Kamala Harris or Donald Trump as the next president, Lichtman spoke of “election anxiety.”

“There was more election anxiety this year than ever before, and I remember Kennedy-Nixon in 1960,” Lichtman said.

“I have never experienced such election anxiety,” he added.

“Many people believe that the future of the country is at stake here and that America's democracy could be a thing of the past. I don't think that's an illegitimate fear.

“I'm so worried about the future of our election, you know, I think I've said this before – democracy is precious, but like all precious things, it can be destroyed.”

Nikki Haley on Trump: “I choose politics over personality”

Which policy? Mass deportations?

Trump's former primary rival wasn't even invited to speak at Madison Square Garden – she was shunned in favor of Tony Hinchcliffe, Hulk Hogan, Rudy Giuliani and the Crucifix Guy – but is still out there supporting the man who killed her last winter has been vilified and ridiculed for months.

Speaking to Bret Baier on Fox News, “Birdbrain” criticized the Republican candidate for at least his rhetoric about Puerto Rico and women, but are conservatives even listening to her at this point?

Honestly, how embarrassing is that?

In the latest episodes of the Tony Hinchcliffe crack, pop superstar and actress Jennifer Lopez has announced that she will be speaking at Kamala Harris' event in Nevada tomorrow to urge her fellow Latinos to support the Democrat and not a candidate whose surrogates view Puerto Rico as a “floating trash island”.

The largest newspaper in the region, El Nuevo DiaIn response to the Trump comedian's insult, he has since moved on to supporting Harris.

And for good measure, here's Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, speaking to CNN's Kaitlan Collins, dismissing Trump's attempts to leave Hinchcliffe.

RFK Jr. criticizes the Supreme Court's decision to keep him on the ballot in Michigan and Wisconsin

The incoming Trump health secretary (shudder) has accused SCOTUS of “undermining election integrity” by upholding a decision by secretaries of state in the aforementioned swing states to keep him on their ballots, despite his decision to suspend his campaign under state law .

Here he is insinuating a Democratic conspiracy and urging the public not to vote for him – a message he should have started with, if you ask me.

“I was there when Trump sent his mob into the Capitol.” Tonight I saw Harris issue a stark warning from the same spot.

Richard Hall He experienced the events of January 6th firsthand and was back in DC last night to see the Democrat put the shame of that day in its proper context and offer America a path forward from Donald Trump and all the shameless mendacity , greed, etc. to solve the department he represents.

According to the Harris campaign, 75,000 people attended the Ellipse speech — 22,000 more than Trump's Jan. 6 crowd at the same location

He won't like this at all.

Josh Marcus has more on claiming a crowd that actually counts.
