Suspect arrested in connection with stabbing near subway station

The Rockville City Police Department (RCPD) has announced the arrest of a 28-year-old man in connection with two separate knife attacks that occurred on Sunday, October 13, near the Twinbrook Metro Station.

Per RCPD: “Last week, RCPD released a photo and asked the public for help in identifying a person of interest in connection with two (2) stabbings in the 1500 block of Rockville Pike on October 13, 2024. RCPD investigators were able to identify this person and rule out his involvement in the crime. As a result of an ongoing and thorough investigation in collaboration with Metro Transit Police, RCPD detectives were able to positively identify the suspect responsible as Muhammad Ibrahim Adam, 28, of Rockville. Adam was transported to Central Unit where he will be charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, 1st Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.”
