Iberia woman's murder trial postponed again – now scheduled to take place in 2025 – News/Talk KRMS

At least for the 6thTh Since the case was filed against an Iberia woman accused of killing her husband in December 2018, a jury trial has been canceled and rescheduled.

The latest trial of Amy Murray, who worked as a nurse at the Jefferson City Correctional Center and was romantically involved with an inmate at the time of the alleged murder, was scheduled to begin on January 14, 2025.

This appointment last week was also canceled.

Murray is charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, arson and tampering with evidence.

She is accused of poisoning her husband Joshua Murray with antifreeze and then setting fire to their bedroom, apparently in an attempt to conceal the poisoning.

The case is being tried in Laclede County at a different location than Miller County.

The new negotiation date is now set for October 2025.
