A Houston woman is charged with involuntary manslaughter after she allegedly struck and killed a man while changing a tire on the Katy Freeway.

Maggie Anne Louise Weber, 29, now faces a charge of manslaughter under the influence of alcohol in connection with the incident. Back in May, she was charged with driving under the influence, which is her second DWI offense.

The incident occurred in the early morning hours of May 25 when Lee Rodgers was struck by Weber's vehicle while attempting to change a tire on his black Kia Sportage near Central Park West Boulevard, according to police.

Witnesses reported that Rodgers had just replaced the defective tire and was putting it in his trunk when he was struck by a white Lexus RX350.

Paramedics arrived quickly, but Rodgers was pronounced dead at the scene.

Weber, who remained at the scene, is said to have shown signs of intoxication.
