'Armed' New York man accused of killing Hudson Valley child found

An “armed” and dangerous Hudson Valley man who allegedly killed a child has been found after a manhunt that led to schools being closed.

Authorities say 40-year-old Fernando Jimenez shot three people at Crossroads in the Baldwin Place apartment complex in Somers late Monday night.

A Hudson Valley student was killed and two others, the student's sibling and mother, are reported to be in critical condition.

Jimenez was a romantic partner of the boys' mother and had permission to be in the apartment, according to police.
