Former Georgia football kicker Rodrigo Blankenship became a fan favorite during his time with the Bulldogs with his thick glasses, unique personality and pinpoint accuracy.

Now the quirky 27-year-old from Marietta is turning to social media for his next opportunity in the NFL.

Every week, Blankenship recreates the best kicking performances of the NFL season and posts the content on TikTok and Instagram until, as he says, he gets an NFL tryout. He last played two games for Arizona in 2022 and was 2-for-2 on field goals, including a 50-yarder, before being cut.

Indianapolis signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and he made 32 of 37 field goals. The following year, he made 11 of 14 field goals in five games before a hip injury sent him to injured reserve and he missed the remainder of the season. The following year, he played one game for the Colts and two for the Cardinals.

In the viral videos, Blankenship prepares a tee shot for the furthest tee shot and performs his routine. Each week he selects some of the best performances to recreate. Last week he simulated kicks from the Cardinals-Chargers game, in which Cameron Dicker made 5 of 5 field goals, including a 59-yarder.

At Georgia, Blankenship went a perfect 200-for-200 on extra points and 80-for-97 on field goals. His stunning 55-yard kick against Oklahoma in the 2018 Rose Bowl brought Georgia within two touchdowns at halftime and started the Bulldogs' second-half comeback that led to an overtime victory.

His legend grew as a rookie when he wore his helmet over his goggles for an unprecedented interview.
