'The View' host Sara Haines reveals 'the best part' of her job

“Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue for some articles through these links.”

Sarah Haines was an occasional co-host of The view since 2016, which means she has a lot of experience working on a national TV show. Well, she shared what it was like to be part of such an acclaimed program… and it turns out there are some interesting elements.

Sara joined her co-hosts Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro And Alyssa Farah Griffin for a live recording of the Behind the table Podcast at the 92nd Street Y in New York City on October 8th. During the panel discussion, Sara was asked about the good and not so good sides of being a moderator The view. As she explained in a clip posted to Instagram, there's one heartwarming thing she loves about her current television gig.

“The best part is when you're sharing things or having conversations and someone reaches out to you or you meet them and they feel like they're seen,” she explained in the excerpt. “I often walk away from set and ask myself, 'Oh, did I just say too much?' the thing today because I feel so seen.' And then You Feel reassured. That would be the best part.”

But that's not all Sara had to say about the important parts of the work The view.

When asked about the hardest part about working as a co-host, she explained that she sometimes struggles with fan backlash on certain topics. But she explained one important thing she always knows about working with her co-stars, which contributes to their lasting bond.

“People always say, 'How can you walk away from that table and not get upset?' That’s because we all trust each other,” she added. “We all know each other’s hearts. Even if we disagree, it's like family members have different feelings than you. You can always come back a minute later and laugh with them and everything will be fine and it will rub your back.”

We look forward to having a supportive team!
