Brian Mann pleaded not guilty on Oct. 24, court documents show.

Mann is demanding that evidence of lead found in the victim's urine be struck from the trial. In a motion filed Wednesday, he said police collected the evidence in the “back parking lot” of the Hartselle Police Department using a “five-gallon bucket and a strainer.”
