One dead after car crash in Floyd Co

FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – A man has died in a car accident in Grethel Township, Floyd County.

Police are investigating a car accident that killed Ken Tackett, 59, of Beaver Wednesday morning.

The accident occurred on Route 979. Police said Tackett likely suffered a medical emergency before his car crashed into a tree.

Tackett was pronounced dead at the scene.
