NWS issues severe thunderstorm warning for northeast Kansas

TOPEKA (KSNT) – The National Weather Service (NWS) is warning people in parts of northeast Kansas to be on the lookout for severe storms Wednesday.

The NWS issued a severe thunderstorm warning for several areas of northeast Kansas on October 30 around 1:15 p.m. These include the following:

The NWS said the warning will remain active until Oct. 30 at 1:45 p.m. This warning includes 70 mph wind gusts and penny-sized hail. People have to expect damage to roofs, facade cladding and trees.
