Etsy: Q3 earnings summary

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (AP) — BROOKLYN, N.Y. (AP) — Etsy Inc. (ETSY) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $57.4 million.

On a per-share basis, the Brooklyn, New York-based company earned 45 cents.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 54 cents per share.

The online arts and crafts market generated revenue of $662.4 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Ten analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $653.8 million.
