The United States women's national team concludes its three-match October international window against Argentina on Wednesday at Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky.

Emma Hayes' side recorded back-to-back 3-1 wins against Iceland last week, extending their winning streak to eight games.

The Olympic champion's last USWNT game on home soil in 2024 will take place on Wednesday.

The Americans finish their 2024 slate with a trip to Europe to face England and the Netherlands in late November and early December.

The focus for Wednesday's game against Argentina will be on refining the many things that have gone well under Hayes and starting a new shutout streak with a concession for the second time this year after two games in a row.

Date: Wednesday, October 30th

The October international window went as well as Americans had hoped.

They scored three goals in each win over Iceland, with Hayes making a number of international debuts for a handful of new players.

One could argue that the only negative is that they conceded a goal in every game against Iceland.

The USWNT entered October 2024 with a three-game shutout streak and a total of 12 goals conceded.

One of these failures occurred against Argentina in the Concacaf W Gold Cup in February. The Americans won that meeting 4-0.

The USWNT has controlled all three games with South American opponents in 2024. They went 8-0 against Argentina, Colombia and Brazil, a statistic consistent with the program's history against teams from that continent.

According to US Soccer, the Americans have won 20 of their last 21 games against CONMEBOL opponents.

Hayes is expected to implement more squad rotation to keep her players fresh at the end of a rare series of three-match friendlies in a week.

Sophia Smith and Lynn Williams are likely to return to the starting lineup after appearing as substitutes on Sunday. The same goes for Rose Lavelle in midfield after her break. Lindsey Horan only played one half over the weekend, so she was able to start in Louisville.

Wednesday's game could be of utmost importance for forward Emma Sears, who is the only player on NWSL's Racing Louisville's USWNT squad. She scored a goal in her first international appearance at the weekend and was expected to gain a few minutes in front of the home crowd.

Argentina has not reached the high standard of the world's top teams in 2024. Brazil lost 5-1, along with a 4-0 loss to the USWNT.

The South Americans are the 33rd team in the FIFA women's rankings, 32 places behind the USWNT, who are expected to post another multi-goal victory in this testing phase in October.

Prediction: USWNT 3, Argentina 0
