Nintendo has developed a music streaming app for Switch Online subscribers

While we all wait for the reveal of the next Nintendo console, the company has once again announced something completely different. This time it's a mobile app called Nintendo Music that allows users to listen to classic gaming songs from Nintendo games over the past few decades Splatoon, animal crossing, And The Legend of Zelda. It's only available to Switch Online subscribers and launches today on both iOS and Android.

The app offers curated playlists around games, moments, moods or characters, but you can also create your own. It also supports streaming as well as downloading tracks for offline listening. Curiously, it includes a spoiler feature that allows you to filter out titles that might somehow spoil a game you haven't played or finished yet. And if you just want to hear some Hyrule noise, the app also lets you “repeat songs or extend selected tracks to 15, 30 or 60 minutes for uninterrupted listening.”
