Game Thread: New York Knicks at Miami Heat, October 30, 2024

Tonight, the New York Knicks (1-2) begin a four-game road trip in Miami for the first of three scheduled regular season games against the Heat (2-1). New York won the final season series 2-1 but lost eight of the last 10 games at the Kaseya Center.

Heading into the current campaign, the Heat are struggling to top 105 points per game and shoot 35% from distance, while the Knicks average 112 and shoot 38%. However, Miami accumulates more rebounds, steals and blocks per game than New York, and the undermanned Knicks will have a handful of them tonight. The Floridians were fifth in defense last season; Like the Cavs' loss, this should be another game won and lost in the trenches.
