Jameson Williams could face felony weapons charges

Lions receiver Jameson Williams is currently waiting to hear what prosecutors do regarding an incident that occurred earlier this month. Ultimately, prosecutors could decide to charge Williams with gun crimes.

About Dave Birkett from the Detroit Free Press, That is a possible outcome the ongoing review of the situation. Williams could also be charged with a misdemeanor. Ultimately, Williams may not be charged at all.

Williams had a gun in his brother's car during a traffic stop. He did not have a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

Prosecutors are also investigating the failure to arrest Williams at the scene. The police officers could face separate charges.

This all comes while Williams is serving a two-game suspension for violating the NFL's PED policy. He will be eligible to return after Sunday's game against the Lions.

Williams could be suspended again on the weapons charge.
