Track Halloween rain and storms

Another warm and windy day is upon us, with temperatures well into the 70s for Halloween. The record is 79°, set in 1950. I don't think we will reach the record today, so the winds are the deciding factor. Gusts can reach the 40s from time to time and there is a Wind Advisory in effect for Sanilac County until 2 a.m.

Rain and storms will begin west of Detroit around 1 p.m. and will not clear the area until 6 p.m. Due to the wind field, some storms may be strong and gusty.

It will be cooler to start the weekend, with high temperatures in the mid 50s.

Today: Rain is expected and a storm could occur in the afternoon. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s, falling later in the evening. Wind: SW 20-40 mph.

Tonight: Windy with falling temperatures with lows in the lower to mid 40s. Wind: SW 15-30 mph.

Friday: Cloudy early, then more sun in the afternoon. It will be much colder with highs in the low to mid 50s. Wind: NW 15-25 mph.

The weekend:
