Warm October weather in Milwaukee is nearing record levels, with people flocking outside

Tuesday, October 29th, brought perhaps the last “summer” day to the Milwaukee area.

People were out and about, enjoying the beautiful weather and taking advantage of the sunshine. Many were able to explore places like Bradford Beach, seize the day and jump into the lake.

“I'm enjoying the whole thing in the sun. It feels great. It actually feels really good,” said Paris Buckner, a Milwaukee resident. “The breeze is great again, the feeling of the last day of summer, so I’m going to soak it up while I can.”

The last time Milwaukee reached warm temperatures was in October 1937, when a record 81 degrees was reached.

“We saw it was going to be nice and warm today,” said Joe Ostermen of Milwaukee. “Maybe some summer temperatures. So we thought we’d come out and use it in the water.”

Summer may be over, but the warmer temperatures say otherwise.
