16-year-old arrested in connection with murder in downtown Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Police arrested a teenager Wednesday in connection with a fatal shooting in downtown Omaha last month.

A 16-year-old boy was taken into custody on charges of second-degree murder and aggravated use of a weapon. He was admitted to the Douglas County Youth Center.

The charges stem from the death of 26-year-old Ramon Tramble Jr., who suffered serious injuries in a shooting near 16th and Farnam Streets in Omaha on the night of Sept. 17. Tramble died in hospital the next day.

The investigation is still ongoing.
