U.S. Attorney's Office announces Laredo drug dealer sentenced to 30 years in prison

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – A Laredo man, 46-year-old Daniel Rodriguez, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

The case began on Jan. 3 when authorities executed a search warrant at Rodriguez's home. Rodriguez attempted to escape and dump a bag of meth but was arrested.

The court found that Rodriguez continued to sell drugs despite multiple opportunities to stop. He remains in custody until he is transferred to a federal prison.
