Woman arrested for drug possession in Oakdale

OAKDALE, La. (CALF) – A woman was arrested in Oakdale for illegal drug possession, according to the Allen Parish Sheriff's Office.

APSO said they began an investigation this month at the Housing Authority Complex at 612 East Dixie Street in Oakdale.

On October 21, officers conducted a search and seized drugs and a handgun.

As a result, APSO said Jasmine Latrice Richard was arrested and charged with:

• Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
• Possession with Intent to Distribute Psilocybin Mushrooms
• Possession of a firearm in conjunction with illegal drugs
• Possession of illegal drugs in the presence of juveniles
• Drug paraphernalia
• Violation of a drug-free zone

Richard was booked into the Allen Parish Detention Center on $321,000 bail.
