An Anchorage man has pleaded guilty to murder charges in connection with the 2019 deaths of his wife and teenage daughter, entering into a deal that calls for a sentence of 100 years in prison.

Tylan Fely, now 39, shot and killed his 30-year-old wife, Cecilia Tuuaga, in front of their 13-year-old daughter in their home, three days after they filed a restraining order against him, according to a statement of facts included in a plea agreement.

Fely then drove his daughter with Tuuaga's body to buy a gas can before stopping in a vacant lot in East Anchorage and fatally shooting the teenager, the statement said. Fely then set fire to the Chevrolet Tahoe with both bodies inside, they said.

Fely pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of second-degree murder and is scheduled to be sentenced in March. Anchorage Superior Court Judge Jack McKenna will decide whether to approve the plea agreement during that hearing.

The agreement would sentence Fely to 100 years in prison and require him to serve at least 55 years before being eligible for voluntary parole.

Fely was previously convicted of manslaughter for a 2005 shooting. In this case he was sentenced to eight years in prison.
